The focus of this group is drawing from a life model in any medium. Please bring your own supplies and equipment.
Students will learn basic hand building methods including slab, coil and pinch pots. Simple sculpture will also be covered.
Students will learn how to wedge clay and throw basic forms including bowls, vases, coffee mugs and small plates. They will learn basic glazing techniques and decorative treatments.
Students will learn how to throw more advanced forms such as lidded vessels, teapots, large platters, multi-piece assemblies, altered forms, surface carving and textural treatments. We will explore different glazing techniques as well.

This is an ongoing class that will concentrate on developing artistic expression, with a focus in watercolor painting and charcoal drawing.
